The Uconn Alumni Foundation and the Hartford Wanderers are joining forces this year to host this year's Bocephus 10s Tournament. This will take place on August 16th, start time 10am. All teams are guaranteed a minimum 3 games. Divisions will be open for all men's clubs, collegiate teams, alumni teams, and social clubs (teams will be grouped competitively). Maximum number of teams is set at 15. Location is Colt Park in Hartford, CT and there will be 3 playing fields. Pre-registration is $200 and can be mailed to the address below, day of registration is $250, collegiate sides will be charged $150. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies will be awarded. Food, drinks, merchandise will be available at the field for purchase. Drink up in downtown Hartford will follow the tournament. Greetings all, for those of you that were at the 2008 Alumni game, it was great to see all of you.. I wanted to formally get COMMITTED interests from people to participate in the 1st Annual Uconn Rugby Alumni Golf Tournament. Here are the details When: Wednesday September 17th 2008 -- 10:30 am Shotgun Where: The Tradition Golf Club-- Wallingford, CT Cost: $125.00 per person This is a beautiful course with rolling fairways, great technical play, and even an island green hole. We are finalizing opportunities to individuals to provide additional levels of sponsorship for the event including (3) Main Sponsors, 18 Hole Sponsors, Beverage Cart Sponsors, etc. Costs associated will be forwarded shortly. There will be TONS of food, "beverages", raffles, & prizes, throughout the day, and both Lunch @ the "Turn", and a BBQ dinner afterwards will be served. This event is to be a major fund raising event to help provide for such goals for the association as: Scholarships to school for current/ new students, offset yearly expenses for the current club, and also to begin the growth of an endowment where the association can begin to give back to the program we have all found a place for in our lives. LET ME BE CLEAR.... THIS TOURNAMENT NEEDS YOUR PARTICIPATION, and It will only be as good as those who help it to be so. I will be finalizing all aspects of the tournament by late next week, and there will be more correspondence to come.
